"Don't be afraid, and don't let these little punks and thugs and rats run your life,” says Kenosha Police Chief John Morrissey

Authorities Crack Down on Kenosha Crime

Anti-crime initiative introduced

Crackdown yields nearly 100 arrests in first week

Meanwhile, authorities in Racine have decided to step up their anti-crime efforts with the announcement that additional sand will be trucked into Monument Square this Friday for local politicians and civic leaders to stick their heads into.

"We're not quitting until we don't see a damn thing!" declared one city official.

Yep, I wish I had something profound to say to this.

You don't take the initiative to fix things when you can't see nor accept that anything is wrong. That is what terrifies me about some of the things McCain has been saying too.

I found it refreshing as hell to hear a police officer talk like that. Whenever they've spoken to me in Racine, they say things like "Hide in your apartment," "Don't go out," or just shrug their shoulders. There is an acceptance of crime in Racine that I've never found anywhere else. City officials seem to beleive that it is normal, or at least inconsequential to their careers, so they do nothing about it.

Party on!

This means that Kenosha's thugs will make their way here.

...Or we might get lucky and the Kenosha cops will catch some of our thugs for us? I got a great cost saving idea... let Kenosha do our crime fighting and patrolling for us. Oh wait, there is no crime here, just occasional dead bodies turning up on the streets.

I think is great they post the minors names.

They should also post the minors parents names and places of employment. Let their names go up on the “wall of shame”: that they can not control the children.

I also hope they are checking the immigration status regarding the numerous "Operating without a License" violations. Illegal immigrants usually do not have sufficient identification to obtain a driver's license.

Orbs, I know you hate me, but I actually agree with you on this. God I love Charles Bronson.

There is acceptance of crime is there is we civilians feel powerless to do anything about it.

Meanwhie, city officials come up with corny ideas for this city instead of focusing on the real problem.
